Wild Life

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. Psalms 50:11-12.

Spring! Oh, So Persistant

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? Luke 12:24
The beauty of birds is something near and dear to my heart. That God would create something so fragile yet so enduring. Creation to a perfection that no one could replicate!
(I apologize I did shrink them this time to save on upload time, but you can still click on the thumbnails and see the detail of the birds. You can even see the robin having a snack! Thankful for that accidental captured moment :)

Railroad Snow

Life is like a mountain railroad
With an engineer that's brave
We must make the run successful
From the cradle to the grave

Watch the curves, the fills, and tunnels
Never falter, never fail
Keep your hand upon the throttle
And your eyes upon the rail

Blessed Savior, Thou will guide us
Till we reach that blissful shore
Where the angels wait to join us
In that great forevermore
-----
It snowed today, I should never get my hopes up about never seeing snow after the 21st of March but if the weather is right, I always do. But on the brighter side it gave me one last day to take a "snow picture". It was still beautiful.

All Ye Lands

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3. Know ye that the Lord he is God: [it is] he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalms 100

This was the same day I took the pictures in the previous blog entry. I can't express how much God is working in so many peoples lives. I've prayed so long for Him to speak to me and to give me the sense to hear him more than I ever have. He has, in so many ways, begun a silent conversation with me and has spoken so loudly in the smallest things that speak out loud without sound. Even through the voices of his servants and in their obedience they are his active hands and feet. It's inspired me so much....

Speaking of trees on a side note I did have a dream Saturday night that I had planted seeds 5 across and back, in our empty pool that was filled with soil and when I woke up the next day there were beautiful young fully leafed trees with tulips hedged about them, it was such a beautiful scene I had to take a picture so but when I turned my back a small portion of them were blown away in a freak storm, I was sad but happy that the majority remained standing. It's funny because I know that sometimes when dreams are interpreted that trees often represent people, what a blessing it would be to me if that dream had special meaning! But if not and just a normal everyday thing that's fine to... I'm satisfied with even the smallest tasks the Lord would have me to do!

Beautiful Skies

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell
The guilty pair, bowed down with care
God gave His Son to win
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin

Could we with ink the ocean fil
And were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade

To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whol
Though stretched from sky to sky

These pictures were taken on March 20th, 2010 Saturday around 6:15 p.m. I was heading to church and noticed the most beautiful scenery. I was so happy I happened to have my camera with me which has become a constant thing. It's hard to believe that so many would just look at these pictures and think that they are just things we see everyday. When the truth is everyday it is different, I can't say I've seen these scenes before, maybe similar but never the same. No one could replicate it, no camera (not even mine) could totally capture it's beauty. Our eyes are so perfectly designed that they catch colors that the camera simply can not. These pictures don't show the beautiful colors of the lining of the clouds that I had saw, they had the lightest hint of so many colors like a very faint rainbow lining the clouds. It was simply breath taking. He is so Great!

Rolling River

Rolling River God
Little Stones are smooth
Only once the water passes through
So I am a stone
rough and grainy still
Trying to reconcile this river's chill

CHORUS:
But when I close my eyes
and feel you rushing by
I know that time brings change
and change takes time
And when the sunset comes
my prayer would be just this one
that you might pick me up
and notice that I am
just a little smoother in your hand

Sometimes raging wild
sometimes swollen high
never have I known this river dry
The deepest part of you
is where I want to stay
and feel the sharpest edges wash away

Oh my prayer would be just this one
That you might pick me up
and notice that I am
Just a little smoother in Your hand....

I love this song it's so peaceful, even the piano in it reminds me of the rush of a steady river or creek. On another note, Today was a very special day, my best friend had her baby and he just captured my heart lol though we're not flesh and blood, I couldn't help but love him instantly! I have the utmost confidence and faith that they will raise him to be a great man of God!

Even in the Darkess of nights...

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Psalms 8:3-4

Nice Surprise

Click thumbnail for better detail
Earlier today I was relaxing in my grandfather's recliner and notices a large brown shadow in the woods and realized it was a hawk. They have been more prevalent this spring already compared to last year. A friend and I even saw one carry away a poor squirrel by it's arms. Nature is so beautiful but even it's beauty has another side which is the great circle! This picture may not seem like it has great quality but it was taken at a very far distance.

Bursting Through

Click Thumbnails for Better Details

I was so excited today, it was 67 degrees of beauty outside and I couldn't have been more happy. These pictures are from the woods behind our house. I took my first panoramic photo (I did edit the top right hand corner to fill in white space left from the merging of all 4 photos) the creek was flowing so steady and strong, I could hear it from the driveway. When I too the picture of the Cardinal it was calling so loud I thought it was right above my head but I had to walk quite a ways to find it and use every bit of zoom my camera had to offer to capture the photo. Birds have always been a constant in these woods, and these woods have always been a fixture in my life. Growing up I had a favorite spot in the woods where a kind of ivy covered the ground like a carpet and in the summer small purple flowers bloom. Nothing like clover, just truly unique. It has spread over the years and has reached the creek (I definitely recommend clicking the thumbnail to enlarge the photo) , with the snow melting it was amazing to see green bursting through!

Signs of Spring

CLICK THUMBNAILS TO ENLARGE

A beautiful late afternoon... Today the air felt like spring, and while driving to my destination I passed Amish children walking home from school, all smiles. It reminded me life is great despite clouds that try to hide the sun. The snow is melting into the ground and I can not wait to see the green grass again.

Beautiful Pines

Pine trees are so beautiful and it's so amazing that with their outer beauty, different trees have different smells. In Nehemiah 8, it was commanded during the feast in the seventh month, that the people should dwell in booths made of olive branches, pine branches, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of thick trees. The reason I mentioned this is because it was really interesting to see that pine trees were even mentioned in the Bible; Sometimes I forget that trees found here are also found over seas and what God creates remains resilient because of Him alone.

Maple Syrup Festival Ohio

CLICK ON PICTURES TO SEE MORE DETAIL

This festival was really interesting, I have tons of pictures and once I make an album in flickr, I will post the links to them here for those interested in seeing everything involved. It was really nice, they would pick us up at the visitor center with tractors hauling a trailer plank with hay or an actual trailer designed to haul people seated. Then once to the barn we waited to get on long carriages drawn by large work horses. They limited how many people would be on each one. Once everyone was ready we went up hill to the woods where there were countless maple trees tapped for syrup. It was well worth the trip, they were very informational and I'll include all of the information with each picture I post later.

It is so amazing how the Lord has provided all kinds of wonderful things to add more flavor and wonder into our lives. The native gentleman explained that the natives of our area would spend hours making one small maple sugar chunk from gallons of maple sap. Believe me, maple sugar tastes way different than normal sugar. It was about 42 degrees out, the sun was shinning just enough that the cold was very tolerable. My hair smells of camp fire and maple, lol which isn't too bad at all.

The Setting Sun....

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecc 3:11

This was the sunset I saw as I drove to church today (Thursday). The sky was far more vivid but I'm still happy with this captured moment. It's amazing of all the sunsets I've seen each one is so very different.

Oh Spring....

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Oh I post this picture just so anxious for spring. I pass this tree on my way to church every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday (if I'm going from my home and have the gas to get there). It has always been my season-o-meter. I watch it all year, when the snow starts melting I slow down and try to see the buds breaking through, and I'm thrilled when I see the leaves slowly engulf it. Then to my dismay the bright green leaves slowly grow darker and darker and summer takes it leave literally.

I should have some really interesting pictures after this weekend! I wont be posting until Sunday most likely so look for them :)

Glory in the Evening

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness Psalms 29:2.

I took a drive and went on some old familiar roads while the sun was setting. It was really beautiful and I saw this scene on the opposite end of the sun setting, in ways I wished that the sun would have been setting in the background of this picture but it was still beautiful because it still shared the same sky. I stopped my car in the middle of the road to take a totally different picture but what was directly beside me caught my eye.
