The Biggest Week in American Birding 2013

The best of my Biggest Week In American Birding 2013. Since I'm still an amateur at this I wouldn't dare try to name the warblers I have pictured above, there are two nonwarblers. The very last bird is a Rose Breasted Grosbeak. It is the prime example of why I love birding, there is such a sense of commonality and community within birding that is so unique. A friend and I were trying to figure out what it was, and a man from Honduras let us know what it was and then a few other birders joined in on taking in the scene of it fluttering about. It was nice because often along the boardwalk there was birder jams (Where everyone is bunched in one spot and hardly anyone can get by), and here we were a group of 5 getting to see a Grosbeak. Anyways I may post more later. Had to upload them while I could.

Has it been almost a year since I last posted?! "It's crazy!" I was just explaining that to someone today lol. I did a wedding and I think it just took it out of me, but I had taken a few pictures in between and didn't even really realize it! lol. Anyways this was still from last summer but a friend of mine and I went to a park and saw a mess of these Canadian geese I had to take pictures it was so pretty out. Be expecting a few more posts! This weekend is the Biggest Week in American Birding and hopefully Saturday I will be going as planned!

Grace, How can it be

"O what love, no greater love. Grace, how can it be; That in my sin, yes even then, He shed his blood for me."

Again the beauty of creation is amazing! Took these a while back and wanted to share them I've taken some drives to take pictures so I will have more updates later this month :)

Splendor Divine

It's only May and my summer has begun with wonderful things, and I see God in it all. Beautiful migrations of Big Week near Lake Erie, feeling content in where I am and where I'm heading, and so much more. Again and as always feeling a little more thankful than months before.

There it shall be... :)

Still alive... :)

I've been taking lots of pictures still, but now it's finding time to get online and upload them. Before it got really cold I went on one of my favorite trails again and took some pictures. I love going out there and being alone in my thoughts and taking pictures along the way. I'm really happy in my life right now and moving forward where I once stood still. I use to find that I would trail off into wanting another life for myself but truly I'm content in the way things are going now :), There's an independence I have and am learning that others don't have the opportunity to know and in that I'm grateful. That's why I love this picture, it reminds me of where I'm at.

Unfiegned Photography

I've not given up photography lol, with gas prices being so high I've not really drove around like I use to taking pictures, but the good thing is every now and then I will get the opportunity to take portraits. Recently two wonderful members of my church were engaged and the soon to be husband of my dear friend set it up to where I was waiting in a second location to take pictures to capture that day. Marriage is a beautiful thing of God, if you aren't on strong foundation then how will you stand. It's all the more wonderful when you see a couple that has a love for God and a great love for eachother. So happy for them! Just awesome :) More to see at unfeignedphotography.com

All that Glitters

Well I wanted to at least update with my latest photo, I had wanted to finish my iced venti lite iced chi but when I came back to my car but to my disappointment it was frozen. I was about to throw it away but I saw the most beautiful frozen pattern painted within the cup. It made me just stop even though I was heading out for work, It's funny the little things that remind you of God. I had a busy day ahead of me but it captured my attention so I ran and got my camera, placed it in a setting I felt that matched, and took a picture. This blog is suppose to be about we see God in nature, but sometimes I think even God speaks through the everyday things and through the rush of the day. Starbucks isn't the best corporation in the world, in fact despite their efforts in charity, they could do far more for many causes. I was thankful to just stop and breathe. How did a starbucks cup remind me of God? lol it certainly wasn't the logo, or the fact it nearly froze to my hand, it was the pattern etched so neatly inside, it just made me think of how something I was about to throw out, had some type of value, it may have been just a moment to capture the picture, to been seen for a moment and appreciated, not because of it's status but by the simple creation of frost....So in all it wasn't a waste. I really don't mean to get so serious about it but it was just one of those things I guess.

I have another blog I've been writing in: http://abelovedheart.blogspot.com
It's just another outlet to take a few minutes and write about things on my mind or things going on in my life. Nothing too interesting :D

Winter

It's been a long time since I last posted and I hope to add all the pictures I've taken over fall and winter soon. Connection issues has really made it hard to upload new entries. These pictures were taken today, this winter surely has been beautiful!
